Over the years, Jocelyn has helped foster pit bulls and larger dogs, cared for medium-sized pups, and administered medications with patience and care. She has also looked after pets for friends and family while they travel, sometimes for two weeks at a time, ensuring each animal feels as safe and comfortable as possible while their parent is away.

Meet Caroline

Nice to meet you! I’m Caroline. I started pet sitting in 2014 because I love animals and wanted to spend more time with them. What started as a fun hobby after school turned into a serious business after graduating from Cornell University.

As a pet parent myself, I understand the stress of leaving your pet in someone else’s care. You worry: will everything be done just right? Will my pet feel comfortable and loved in my absence? Can I trust the people going into my home? I completely get it.

Unfortunately, I’ve heard one-too-many stories of negative experiences pet parents endured looking for pet care elsewhere, and I’m on a mission to help as many pet parents as possible avoid similar plights. This means I live and breathe outstanding pet care, giving you peace of mind that your pet is being taken care of as though you were there.

You can rest assured knowing we’ll show up for every visit (you’d be surprised how often pet parents tell me another sitter flaked!). You’ll receive updates and photos every time we stop by and answers to any question you have about how your pet is doing. All our sitters are vetted — including multiple rounds of interviews and 3-5 reference checks, go through a state, local, and federal background check, and receive extensive training on our operational excellence procedures, ensuring only serious pros are looking after your pets. Your fur-kid becomes part of a loving family when under the care of Simply The Best, and we look forward to meeting them!

I’m a mom of many, which is why I understand the importance of reliable pet care. I’m lucky to have the following pets: one Chihuahua mix, Lilly; two horses, Junior and Cantaro; two fish, Speckles and Black Jack; and 20 aquatic shrimp.

Meet Renae

Lover of All Animals, Big or Small!

Renae grew up in a small town in Central Illinois. She graduated from The Illinois Institute of Art with a Bachelor’s degree in Media Arts and Animation. She enjoys Art very much, but her true passion has always been working with animals.

She’s had a large variety of pets since she was a child & was always bringing home strays. She currently has a 1-year-old Siamese Mix named Ellie, short for Lady Eloise, who currently has a medical condition that needs extra love & care.

In the past, Renae has taken care of two senior cats who also had medical conditions. For many years, she has cared for friend’s & neighbor’s pets while they were away (sometimes for 1-2 weeks at a time), including cats, dogs, bunnies & fish. She’s always the first one they call!

In 2018, Renae & her family moved to the Bay Area where she continued pet-sitting for neighbors & eventually friends. Shortly after, she started volunteering at The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA where she cares for sick, injured or orphaned wildlife. This very rewarding job has many perks like feeding baby squirrels & releasing animals back into the wild!

Renae really enjoys being a part of the Simply The Best team! She’s looking forward to caring for your pet(s) & will do so as if he/she were her own, with kindness, compassion & patience! When she’s not pet-sitting, Renae is a Mom of two & enjoys drawing, wildlife photography, movies & spending time with family & friends.

Meet Olivia

Olivia has been passionate about animals all her life. Growing up surrounded by pets, she developed a deep love and respect for animals of all kinds. She’s even a vegetarian! Her journey into pet care began in high school, when she started casually dog walking for a neighbor – and now loves working for Simply The Best!

Whether it’s a farmer’s market date with her boyfriend’s dog, or cat sitting for others, she brings patience, reliability, and genuine love to every animal she meets.

When she’s not walking dogs or caring for pets, Olivia enjoys running, reading, and going to the beach!

They have a soft spot for senior animals, and put special care into making sure they get the engagement and attention they deserve. When they’re done taking clients’ dogs out to discover new walking routes and trails, they come home for a good cuddle session and a stroll around the park with their 16-year-old Staffy, Sophie

We contacted Simply The Best Pet Care because we needed a pet sitter on somewhat short notice for our cat Abby. Caroline was immediately responsive and helpful, and helped us set up a meet and greet with one of her team members. Saturday was a wonderful pet sitter — they took the time to understand Abby’s routine and personality, and during the visits, sent us pictures and very detailed updates which helped us work with them to make some adjustments to Abby’s care while we were away. Our shy cat is usually wary of strangers, but she warmed up to say hello after just a couple of visits. We’re very impressed by the care, professionalism, & attention to detail from the STB team, and look forward to having them help with our pet sitting in the future. Rose has been surrounded by animals all her life. Growing up she pleaded with her parents to get a dog and to her surprise was granted her wish. She also spent eight years riding horses and continues to care for her family’s horse.

During college, Rose worked as a dog walker and led pack walks on trails and on the beach. From this experience, she started pet sitting for friends and neighbors and has been for the past four years.

Through growing up with a rescue dog and horses with behavioral problems, Rose has developed strong skills working with pets of all personalities. She believes that through consistency and patience, even the shyest animals can thrive.

While on her walks with a pup or pups, Rose is able to be in one of her favorite places in the world which is in nature. She has a vast knowledge of local plants and wildlife and finds immense joy in getting outside. If she’s not outside, she spends time with her cats, Cooper & Olive, while she crochets, plays ukulele, or makes jewelry.

Paige adores the unique personalities that make each pet special. From the way they communicate with their expressive eyes and playful ear twitches to the way their tails wag or curl in curiosity—every little quirk fascinates her. She cherishes those quiet moments when an animal takes a deep breath, lets down its guard, and decides to trust. That shift from uncertainty to companionship is something truly magical to her.

At home, Paige shares her life with her beloved cat, Vinnie—a big, talkative, and lovable boy with extra toes, thanks to his polydactyl paws. 

When she’s not petting, walking, feeding, snuggling, or playing with pets, Paige is spending quality time with her two teenage boys, making memories and sharing laughs. Whether with animals or her family, she finds joy in connection, trust, and unconditional love.
